This is from data collected by Warranty Direct’s insurance policies over an eight-year period. Claims for damages traceable to poor road quality can be more than £2000, with an average repair cost of £250.
Scotland rates worst for axle and suspension failures caused by poor road quality, while southern England has the lowest failure rates.
